Physical activity is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. Before engaging in a fitness program it is essential to determin your physical activity readiness. If you have a health condition you may need to consult with your doctor before beginning regular exercise. The questions herein are designed to help you decide if you should consult your doctor before starting a fitness program.
Please read the following carefully.
Questions
1. Have you ever been diagnosed with heart problems?
2. Do you have frequent chest or heart pain?
3. Do you experience spells of dizziness or faintness?
4. Has your doctor ever expressed concern about elevated or high blood pressure?
5. Have you ever been diagnosed with joint or bone problems that can be aggravated by exercise?
6. Do you often experience joint or bone pain when exercising?
7. Do you know of any reasons that you should not exercise?
8. Do you think you may have a condition that may be aggravated by exercise?
If the answers to any of the questions stated above are yes please consult your physician. If any of the questions are unclear please ask your trainer.
