Eating a balanced diet is not only important to weight loss but to your long term well being. It can go a long way in ensuring your body?s ability to function properly. We're all busy people, which can sometimes make maintaining a balanced diet tricky. at best. Here are some tips to help you out.
            Tips:   
·         Keep a food journal, go over you food journal and try to determine your daily intake of all food groups
·         Keep your RDA recommended daily intake close at hand. The refrigerator door is a good place
·         Eat the food groups you may skimp on as snacks
·         Have a fruit or vegetable serving at every meal
·         Avoid foods that do not clearly fall into a particular food groups. These are usually highly processed foods
·         Avoid processed foods as much as possible
·         Get to know your food groups, which foods fall into what category

Skipping meals in and of itself can be a cause of weight gain and can make losing weight a challenge. In order to function properly your body needs fuel. Skipping meals imbalances your body's ability to properly absorb food and impairs distribution of nutrients. In addition, hunger often leads to over eating, sugar cravings and poor meal choices. To avoid this, plan a head. If you know you're going to have a busy day keep healthy snacks on hand or pack a lunch you can eat on the run.
